heavenly footprints

After the bombings at the Boston Marathon, I saw many posts on Facebook with the Fred Roger's quote:
"When I was a boy and would see scary things on the news, my Mother would say, "look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping."
Sister Ann of the Cenacle Retreat House said the first responders are "the kingdom of God. They bring the divine to the flesh."

When we center ourselves in God in Centering Prayer, we bring intent to our union with God. The intent and practice of communing with God allows us to leave heavenly footprints on the collection of moments we call today. When we practice this, the divine is more available to respond to the world's needs through us.
